據說保羅麥卡尼在利物浦的父親家裡，偶然看到鋼琴上放著劇作家Dekker的這首詩。以這首詩為靈感，他擷取詩的第一句，並且填了一些詞。這首歌收錄在1969年發行的《Abby Road》，與<  Carry That Weight > 一起錄音並且成為single piece。
